A couple of years ago Camryn and myself entered a few photos into the 9th annual Nature Photo Contest that was sponsored by The Goose Lake Partners, at the Goose Lake Prairie State Natural Area. This Was a fantastic opportunity for Camryn and I to work on a project together and bond over something that we both love to do. Their were many categories in which to enter, I entered a few and Camryn entered them all for the youth division. She did awesome and placed in all of the categories including sweeping the animal category with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place by photographing a deer that was very close to us as we hiked one day at the preserve. 

Me on the other hand did ok. I did however place first in the colored plant category with this gem, which is still one of my favorite photographs.
