around house-19   Well, much has happened since the last time I've written. Covid-19 hit us all and like most people we have been stuck in the house. We were forced to cancel our long awaited and well deserved vacation to Florida where we planned on visiting friends and some beautiful beaches. It was a much needed R&R and now we will just have to wait until next year. I also cancelled my yearly trip to Texas to visit my mom and brothers. She is in a home where visitors are not allowed due to the virus, and with the risk from her medical conditions there is no point in driving a thousand miles to wave to her through a window from outside. My sister Teresa who lives in a group home as well in Wisconsin was exposed to and contracted COVID-19. She spent a week in the hospital fortunately with mild symptoms. She received oxygen and vitamins and when she no longer showed symptoms was sent home to quarantine for a period of time. 

  Dana was able to work from home for quite a while. Although she was hidden away in the studio / office due to Bella not letting her alone once she realized she was home, it was nice having her around the house throughout the week. unfortunately for her and for us, she has returned to work. We're still hoping that at some point she will be able to work from home a day or two a week.

  When it's nice out and not 100 degrees we venture outside. We have a couple of pools at our disposal so that makes the scorching heat a little more bearable. Dana and I are planning a little kayak get away soon and that always soothes the soul. All in all it has been a pretty nice time being able to spend time together. Like most families we are sometimes at each others throat, but a little arguing helps you vent and brings things to light that may otherwise be kept buried inside to later come out in a not so nice explosion.
