When I was asked by my friend Madison to take her 6 mo old Bren's photos, I was so excited. I was pretty nervous but excited. This was to be my first paid photo shoot. I did some research on 6 month old photo sessions, I went out to purchase some props and things to use as backdrops. When we finally meet for the shoot I had no clue as to where to start and no idea how long this would take.

Things started off pretty quick. I had no workflow at this point and was switching lenses, shooting some and then switching back to the previous lens. Again, no clue. (Here's where I insert LOL) Out of the many props I brought along I used one. I bought a small chalk board with a blue frame, you know the kind. We wrote on there, Bren 6 Months.

Madison had brought a children's book that her mother had read to her when she was a little one, along with the same book for Bren. Now this book was written in Korean. Madison had studied Korean while abroad in the Marine Corps. ( Semper Fi! ) This made a very cute setting for photos. Oh, they also brought along their puppy.

Anyway, the shoot went well and was over the hour mark in what to me felt like fifteen minutes. It really does fly by! I had a blast. I hope that they did  too. I think they did, they've hired me back a few more times since then..  (:

It's pretty hard to pick just one photo to feature from that shoot, they were all so cute.
